Sports Spotlight Online Newspaper is a daily web site designed to promote the CHARACTER COUNTS! Coalition and the six pillars (trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring, citizenship) of CHARACTER COUNTS! Created by the Josephson Institute of Ethics, CHARACTER COUNTS! is the most widely implemented approach to character education. The purpose of the CHARACTER COUNTS! Coalition is to fortify the lives of America’s young people with consensus ethical values called the “Six Pillars of Character.” These values transcend divisions of race, creed, politics, gender and wealth.
