College basketball underclassmen like UCLA freshman Kevin Love are leaving school early to cash in their NBA lottery tickets.  Will the NCAA do what's best for the students and institute a 3 year commitment from every scholarship athlete?

Denver Nuggets star forward Carmelo Anthony was recently arrested for DUI.  Several days later he gave his fans and the Nuggests a national heart-felt apology at a press conference.  Is Melo ready to lose the "Street Thug" image he has grasped onto?  Will he "Man-up" (As he put it) and do what's best for his family and the thousands of kids who look up to him?

  

The Dolphins Thinking "Long" And Hard About The First Pick?

One week you hear NFL Draft Analyst, Mel Kiper of ESPN, say the Dolphins will take OT Jake Long of Michigan with the first pick.  The next week some other draft expert says DE Chris Long of Virginia will be the first pick.  Either way, the Dolphins will get a good character guy with a strong work ethic and a commitment to improving himself and the team.   

 

Patriots Are Right Where They Want To Be, 6-1 And Improving!

Last year the Wootton Patriots Boys Lacrosse team made a historic run for Montgomery County.  They were the first MCPS Boys team to reach the Maryland State Lacrosse Finals, and they entered 2008 looking to build off that momentum. 

On Thursday, May 1, 2008 from 6-8 pm at the Outback in Germantown, MD the Seneca Valley Football program will celebrate 30 years of historic football moments.  Former football Coach Terry Changuris will MC the event.  If you are interested in attending please RSVP Football Coach Fred Kim at Fred_J_Kim@mcpsmd.org
